Russellville Municipal Airport

Russellville Airport has undergone many upgrades
The CIty of Russellville has undertaken an aggressive airport improvement program over the past several years in order to provide a top notch facility for the use of the patrons of the airport as well as to itinerant air traffic. The results of which are a jet capabale airport that currently operates at an effective runway width of 75 feet nd an effective runway legnth of of 5,000 feet with an additional 500 feet of runway length avaliable for takeoff. The City of Russellville has also recently installed brand new edge lighting and navigation aides, precision approach path indicators and runway end identifier lights, to increase the safety afforded to aircraft utilizing the airport. Additionally, the airport also offers the use of a brand new terminal facility with space avaliable for business meetings and a comfortable environment for piolts resting between flights.
Russellville continues to pursue the enhancement of the airport. Upcoming projects include the installation of a state of the art fueling facility to provide 24 hour access to both 100LL AVGAS and Jet-A-Fuel. Planning is also underway for the development of an instrument approach procedure for the airport as well as the development of the terminal area so as to provide prime locations for corporate and private aircraft hangers.
The Russellville Airport is not all business, though. Every month with a 5th Saturday,(once a quarter) March through November, the airport hosts a "fly-in" and spot landing contest, attracting visitors from all around the area, who come in to enjoy a pancake breakfast and camaraderie with fellow flying enthusiasts.
