Welcome to
the official web site of The City of Russellville, Alabama. What
do we mean by "The Big Small City"? We mean we're small
enough that when you pick up the phone to call us or send us an
e-mail, you know you will be getting in touch with a real human
being. One that knows where to direct you or how to get you an
answer. And we're "big" enough that we can get things
done. It's not as if one person is doing fourteen different jobs
and has no time to accomplish anything.
 Russellville is also
big enough that we have a good relationship with the State Government
and we're able to get assistance with many projects for the betterment
of our community. Projects like new tennis courts, The Russellville Aquatics Center, expansion of the Russellville Municipal Airport, funding for re-surfacing of
our city streets and other beautification enhancements. Just a
couple of years ago we built a new elementary school and added
a Fine Arts Center to Russellville High School. A few years before that,
a new Jr. High School was constructed.

And, thanks
to the efforts of a number of committed individuals, The A.W.
Todd Center was just constructed in 2002. This serves as a civic
center as well as hosting The Russellville Senior Citizens Program.
