It is the mission of the Russellville Public Library to support its patrons in their search for knowledge and pleasure through reading, to provide reference and technical materials in support of education, to nurture the passion of reading in our young patrons and to enhance learning opportunities through use of digital technology.

Large Selection
The Russellville Library has over 14,000 books and books on tape. All categories including fiction, non-fiction, children's, reference, poetry, adventure, romance, science and nature. Many books are in large print.
Major William Russell Genealogy Room
A large selection of books, microfilm, cemetery records and local history make the genealogy room at the Russellville Public Library one of the best in Northern Alabama.
Pre-school reading program
Children from birth to the beginning of school often get their first experiences with books by their involvement with the pre-school reading programs. Every Wednesday, October through May, children come at 11:30 to listen to a story, create a craft and have a treat.
A computer for internet access is also available at the Russellville Library.
