Russellville Parks and Recreation Department |
| Much more than just stick and ball sports, the Russellville Parks and Recreation Department contributes immensely to not only Russellville, but to individuals from all over the Southeast. They are responsible for fundraisers and recreational activities for the special population, helping to build self esteem through camaraderie and healthy competition. The Russellville Parks and Recreation Department has just completed the task of building a new recreational facility that includes a Jr. Olympic size swimming pool as well as new tennis courts, in an effort to draw competitors to the area for championship events. |
| Of course, Russellville offers all of the sports you would expect them to host, for girls and boys ages 3 through 15. From Tiny T-ball to basket ball and soccer, these team sports help young people to develop social skills and a team spirit in a friendly and helpful environment. |
The Russellville Parks and Recreation Department is headed up by Mr. Jackie Bradford, who gives credit for the departments success to the number of devoted employees and volunteers that give so much of their lives to kids from all around the area. Their efforts are a prime example of what team spirit and cooperation are all about. |
